Penne Arrabbiata Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 400g penne pasta
  • 400g San Marzano tomatoes, crushed
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2-3 dried red chili peppers
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to boil

    Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat

    Add sliced garlic and whole dried chilies

    Sauté until garlic is golden and fragrant

    Add crushed tomatoes and salt

    Simmer sauce for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally

    Cook penne until al dente

    Remove chilies from sauce if you prefer less heat

    Drain pasta and add to the spicy tomato sauce
